Kona Festivale Chorale, a creative presence in Kona since 1988, announces its 15th annual “Swing Into Spring” dinner gala begins at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the Kamakahonu Ballroom of King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel.

Kona Festivale Chorale, a creative presence in Kona since 1988, announces its 15th annual “Swing Into Spring” dinner gala begins at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the Kamakahonu Ballroom of King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel.

Headlining the fundraising event is a live cabaret show featuring Celebration in an eclectic all-jazz program titled “All That Jazz.” Featured members include Jo-Anna Boshard, Kalehua Meheula, Misty Mistler, Yolanda Olson, Kathy Roseler, Yolanda Olson and K. F. Chorale studio musicians under the direction of Roberta King. Selections include; “Sway,” “Blue Skies,” “Long Ago and Far Away,” “Dream,” “At Last,” “Bring Me Sunshine,” “Come Dance with Me,” “The Nearness of You,” “Ain’t Misbehavin’,” “One Note Samba,” “I Wish You Love,” “Stormy Weather” and “The Way You Look Tonight.”

Also headlining the evening’s events is the dinner/dance music of Bill Noble and Loren Wilken. The gala also features a silent auction and dinner buffet hosted by emcee Richard Herschberger.

Ticket reservations are available by calling the chorale’s ticket hot line at 331-1115. Tickets are modestly priced at $70 per person with tables of 10 discounted 10 percent. The ticket price also includes tax and gratuity. The chorale will also present, in the second half of its season, “Pops Menagerie,” a sometimes zany, often nostalgic, but always fun-filled trip down memory lane, at 3 p.m. April 7 and “SingSpiration,” a concert of inspirational sacred music and featured artists presented annually at Mokuaikaua Church, the oldest Christian church in the state, at 7 p.m. April 27.
